This full-time position will commence in September, and we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual who is dedicated to promoting excellence in Spanish education.

As the Head of Spanish, you will play a crucial role in leading the Spanish department, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for both students and staff. Your expertise and exemplary leadership skills will inspire and motivate students to develop their Spanish language skills and cultural awareness.

Working closely with a team of dedicated educators, you will have the autonomy to design and implement a comprehensive and engaging Spanish curriculum, ensuring that students have the necessary language proficiency and understanding to succeed in their studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Spanish department
• Oversee and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in Spanish
• Mentor and support Spanish teachers, fostering their professional growth

• Organize and coordinate extracurricular activities related to Spanish language and culture

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialization in Spanish or a related field
• Postgraduate degree in Spanish or Education (desirable)
• Significant experience teaching Spanish, ideally at a secondary school level
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Passionate about promoting Spanish language acquisition and cultural awareness
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in Spanish education
