Job Introduction
This role will appeal to someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of people with diabetes, a serious health condition, and that presents a major challenge for the UK. We are looking for a highly motivated, engaged, focused and experienced individual, who can lead our team in the South East Coast and London and work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders to deliver better care for people living with or at risk of diabetes.

Role Responsibility
The head of South East Coast and London leads and develops the regional team at Diabetes UK, creating and implementing a plan to use the team's resources to best improve care and outcomes for people living with diabetes across the area. You will be the public face of Diabetes UK in the region and work collaboratively at a senior level with community and health system leaders to influence better care and improve outcomes for people living with, and at risk of, diabetes. You will build strong collaborative relationships and partnerships both internally and externally to make change happen, maintaining a high performing and inclusive team as you do.
The role requires travel around our region and so we are looking for someone who lives within the region, either London, Kent, Surrey or Sussex.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an authentic and inclusive leader with a strong collaborative working style. You will have extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and operational management within the health or community sector. You should be a strong communicator and strategic thinker, capable of translating complex ideas into clear messages and plans. We hope you will be committed to improving care and outcomes for people living with diabetes as we are, tackling inequalities, and building strong relationships across the health system.
