The role
BNP Paribas Real Estate is seeking a new Head of Sourcing, to lead the sourcing activity for BNP Paribas Real Estate UK and Property Management.
The role will report to the Head of Procurement working closely with the Head of Supplier Risk management and the senior operations director from the Property management division. The role will have 3 direct reports.
As the Head of Sourcing you will work with the head of procurement setting and leading the overall sourcing strategy. You must be able to illustrate experience and knowledge to give the executive teams the confidence and assurance to support the initiatives.
The spend is approximately £260m. The successful candidate will need to illustrate experience developing a sourcing approach for all FM categories and utilities. The role also requires an understanding of other indirect categories: Technology, Communication, Professional Service and HR, which combined represents approximately £30m spend.
Responsibilities
The role requires expert knowledge of strategic sourcing, supply chain risk management, supplier relationship management and change management. The Head of Sourcing will need to adapt processes to meet the commercial demands of our clients however ensure the supply chain risk obligations of the BNP Paribas group are met without exception. Engagement with all areas of the business is essential to set the appropriate sourcing strategy based on a wide range of stakeholder needs. An ability to coach and lead stakeholders to the best commercial outcomes, always with the client in mind.
As head of supplier risk management you will engage with Stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, coaching and supporting them with the adoption of the supplier risk processes. The role will require an ability to listen to operational challenges to align processes to ensure compliance, but recognising the commercial environment of the real estate industries. Flexibility to adapt and target key areas of risk, working on specific projects as required.

Qualifications/Key Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or industry-relevant equivalent
- In-depth understanding of the industry and the workings of different departments of a company, including Procurement.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Experience
Expert sourcing strategy experience, including successful delivery
Client facing procurement experience including FM and utilities
Change management and stakeholder management at all levels including executive leadership
Business process adoption including sourcing tools (experience of Proactis ideal)
Supplier risk management including:
• know your supplier
• fraud prevention
• ABC
• Health & safety
• ESG
Management of supplier databases
Compliance reporting and control testing methodologies
Stakeholder engagement and coaching experience
Attention to detail and data integrity
An appreciation of the commercial environment
Highly numerate
Excellent English language skills both written and spoken
IT literate MS Office
