Head of Portfolio Delivery

Reporting into the Group IT Director, you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of all portfolios within Volkswagen Group UK. You will lead the planning, scheduling and delivery of circa 50 projects which are aligned to 6 portfolios ensuring overall business strategy is delivered. You will fill a critical role supporting the digitalisation of VWGUK including the introduction of AI.

Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

• Strong understanding of all aspects relating to complex portfolio and project delivery
• A good understanding of the IT technologies and industry trends
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and able to clearly articulate ideas, solutions and recommendations across all levels of the organisation.
• Highly motivated with excellent time management skills and able to work under own initiative.
• A logical thinker with strong analytical skills
• Track record in managing multiple, large scale IT portfolios of activity
• Proven track record in delivery of large-scale Application Developments
• Strong knowledge and experience of development methodologies, processes and procedures (Waterfall and Agile)
• A good awareness of testing methodologies including automation
• Strong experience in managing suppliers supporting the delivery of projects
• Proven successful track record in managing and motivating teams to achieve operational targets
• Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong proven abilities in relationship management
• Experienced in management of commercial and stakeholder relationships
