Wayman Group is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Science to join our team at an outstanding school in Brent. This is a full-time position starting in April. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who has a strong passion for Science, a deep understanding of its principles, and a strong track record of successful teaching. The Head of Science will play a crucial role in driving the department forward, developing the curriculum, and staying updated with the latest advancements in the field. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science department, overseeing the delivery of an exceptional Science curriculum
• Provide strategic direction and support to Science teachers, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
• Monitor and evaluate the progress and achievements of students in Science
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
• Lead by example, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the school's values
• Contribute to the school's Science program and initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and achievements

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialization in Science or a related field
• Postgraduate degree in Science or Science Education (preferred)

Experience and Skills:

• Significant experience teaching Science, preferably at the secondary level
• Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Excellent subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to deliver exceptional lessons
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in Science education
