Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Science curriculum
• Provide strategic direction and support to Science teachers, promoting a culture of excellence
• Monitor and evaluate student progress in Science, implementing effective intervention strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching and learning resources
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, upholding the school's values
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's Science program
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and achievements

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialization in Science or a related field
• Postgraduate degree in Science or Science Education (preferred)

Experience and Skills:

• Significant experience teaching Science, preferably within a secondary school setting
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
• In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum and effective teaching methodologies
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in Science education
