Due to continued growth of Greenhall and inclusion acrossour Trust, we are very excited to be recruiting a Head of School. The successfulindividual will play a pivotal role in driving ongoing improvement, buildingcapacity and enabling all our children, families and staff to thrive. This rolehas a teaching commitment.
Greenhallis a nurturing, early years special school for children aged 2-5years old withneeds in the prime areas of learning. We also have a governor-run nursery -Little Learners - onsite that is open 51 weeks of the year. 'Knowing theindividual well' and 'effective relationships' are central to our work.
We are looking for a dynamicleader who:
- Is an experiencedsenior leader (e.g. Deputy Head, Assistant Head, or equivalent), or an existingHead of School
- Has a strong trackrecord of raising standards and improving outcomes
- Thinks strategicallywhile maintaining a clear focus on effective day-to-day leadership
- Is passionate about highquality early years education and deeply committed to child-centered practice,with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Builds positive,trusting relationships across the school community, working WITH them. You willinvest time getting to know our children, families and staff and be willing togo the extra mile for them.
- Communicateseffectively with staff, pupils, and families
- Loves coming into schooleach day to spend time with our precious little ones and lead a fantastic staffteam
- Leads by example and iswilling to get stuck in...our children love to play and be creative andwe expect you to join in! No job is too big or too small!
- Is organised,professional, remains calm and has clarity ofthought
- Reads andresearches the best practice in early years and SEND (evidence based, not thelatest fads!) reflects on this and then, where appropriate, implements this inour setting, explaining the whys to ensure that stakeholders are taken WITH you
- Cares about details - you will have that difficult conversationwith sensitivity, your emails are free of typo's and you know whose coat iswhose and are willing to spend time looking for a missing welly boot!
- Is loving, kind and gives the best hugs to children and staff!
- Has the courage to do the right thing, even when this isdifficult
- Is committed to creating an inclusive society
- Has a warm, infectious smile that lights up their face - thissmile is there to greet our children, families and fellow staff to show themhow loved, special and valued they are!
