Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust is pleased to invite applications for thepost of Head of School at Worfield Endowed Church of England Primary School. This is anexciting opportunity to lead a dedicated staff team and shape the next phase of theschool's development from April 2026.
Worfield Endowed CE Primary School is part of Shropshire Church of England AcademiesTrust, a thriving trust formed of eight Church of England primary schools. Worfield Schoolwas judged a 'Good' school in its most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2024, continuing apositive trend from previous "Good" ratings in 2014 and 2018. Inspectors highlighted strongpupil behaviour, effective support for pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs &Disabilities), and a caring staff who foster a safe, positive environment where childrenachieve well, especially in core subjects, preparing them well for the next stage ofeducation.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced senior leader who is ready to further developtheir skills and apply their experience within a whole-school leadership role, supported bythe strategic oversight of the Trust's central team. The Trust is committed to providing highquality professional development, encouragement, and appropriate challenge to supportthe successful candidate.
The successful candidate will:
• be responsible for the effective day-to-day leadership of Worfield School
• provide leadership and management of the curriculum and of teaching and learningacross the School which enables the School to give every pupil high quality educationwhich promotes the highest possible standards of achievement
• provide an outstanding model of classroom practice
• ensure that the school is an integral part of the local community, and take accountof, and respond to, feedback from pupils, parents and the wider community
• teach a class for up to 2 days each week- this shall mainly be Year 4 during theremainder of the academic year 2025-26
• work in close collaboration with other senior leaders and executive leaders acrossthe Trust (the role will involve some travelling to other schools within the Trust)
