Key Responsibilities

SGS Industrial Division is looking for an experienced sales manager to lead a newly forming national sales team, the team is currently being recruited to add sales capacity, and the candidate would be able to shape the team and be the architect of the Industrial Division sales model.

It is important to note, the role is also a sales role and will have a sales target for the sales manager to make their own sales, as well as leading their team and supporting the team meet sales targets.

A strategic priority (beyond traditional B2B transactional sales activities) is to secure and develop revenues with large customers on long term contracts, and so experience working with contract-based sales, selling to procurement managers, in a formal project, tender or contract-based setting would be valuable. A consultative sales approach and experience working at this level with customers is needed. The role requires national travel and potentially overnight stays when travelling long distances.

SGS Industrial Division provides services related to materials testing: Including metallurgy, failure analysis, manufacturing quality investigation, material selection, contaminants and paint covering physical, chemical, and mechanical testing to construction, industrial and client standards.

Laboratory work: Including asset integrity management, NDT, metallurgical, mechanical, chemical analysis, pressure and corrosion testing, and field engineering services including visual and dimensional checks on pipe and structural welds plus Oil condition monitoring, including transformer oils testing, analysis of new and used lubricating oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and fuels incl. measuring, monitoring and data analytical services.

The role would suit an experienced sales professional with a background related to the services detailed, wider TIC sector experience may be transferable.
