Head of Responsible Business (Fixed Term Contract)

Our Interim Head of Responsible Business role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver our Responsible Business Strategy with clarity, innovation, and purpose. You will bring alignment and strategic coherence to our approach-enhancing the firm's reputation, strengthening stakeholder confidence, and ensuring we continue to lead with integrity and impact in the legal sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of our Responsible Business Strategy, aligning it with firm-wide objectives and KPIs.
- Collaborate across the firm to embed responsible business principles into our legal services, operations, and culture.
- Manage and develop a high-performing Responsible Business team across areas such as community engagement, environment, human rights, DEI, and client collaboration.
- Advise senior leadership on best practice in ESG, including climate adaptation, carbon strategy, and inclusive practices.
- Represent the firm at internal and external events, forums, and award platforms to enhance our profile and influence.
- Oversee the production of our Responsible Business Report and digital content, ensuring transparency and impact.
- Support key tenders and pitches by articulating our responsible business credentials.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and benchmarking (e.g. Ecovadis, UNGC).
About You
- Proven experience leading responsible business or ESG strategy.
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to board-level discussions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of frameworks such as the UN SDGs, Science-Based Targets, and materiality assessments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic insights.
- Passionate about making a meaningful impact through business.
