Role overview

This role sits within Ipsos Karian & Box (IK&B) - the employee research part of Ipsos. We work with big organisations to help them understand their employees' experience and to create better working environments through research, impactful internal communications & strategic programmes.

This role is key to our future success, with the dual purpose of owning & optimising our end-to-end client delivery model as well as leading some of our talented client delivery teams. Your remit will be to help ensure the way we deliver for clients is profitable whilst also delivers great client outcomes, being a key driver for process improvement.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home. This role can be based in London, Manchester or York.

What will I be doing?

Client delivery model

  • Have full ownership and accountability for our end-to-end delivery model for research projects, responsible for streamlining this by creating efficiencies, driving change and transforming the way we deliver for clients to ensure our operating model is future proofed.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, design and implement process improvement across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Responsibility for monitoring and improving project profitability, working with the Head of PMO and Project Managers. Identifying projects requiring targeted intervention, and those with best practice which can be learnt from.
  • Oversee and approve all process changes to ensure these are aligned strategically.
  • Collaborating with other Service Lines within Ipsos to understand their operating models, technology and capabilities to identify process improvements.
  • Play a key part in setting and delivering our AI strategy, identifying opportunities for automation, ensuring that we are using this in a sustainable way in our client projects.
  • Stay abreast of wider industry best practices, emerging technologies and innovative approaches, bringing them back to the IK&B delivery model.
  • Manage the budget for our flexible resource pool, ensuring this is spent effectively and aligned to business need.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and inspire around 25 high performing research professionals, made up of direct leadership of three teams (Platform, Data, Data Engineering) along with dotted line leadership of our Insight Design team (who sit within our Creative Studio).
  • Mentoring support for each of the four team leads, fostering them and their teams' professional growth and development.
  • Set clear objectives for these teams, aligned to our business strategy, and manage these objectives through to completion.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Proven leadership and people management capability, having successfully managed and led teams.
  • Be a positive thinker with a can do, decisive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Analytical and problem solver
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A strong sense of commercial acumen and understanding.
  • Experience of navigating a matrix organisation to build relationships and get things done efficiently.
  • Ability to think and operate strategically whilst also maintaining an eye for detail, process and operationalisation.
  • Strong organisational skills - demonstrate flexibility, with proven ability to juggle multiple tasks in order to deliver business requirements.
  • Able to work under pressure, conflicting demands, and prioritise tasks and workload.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, taking responsibility for always delivering to the highest standard and on time.
  • Ability to disseminate complex information.
  • Intellectual curiosity, able to constructively challenge existing thinking, systems and processes.
