Head of Recruitment Proposition

Contract type: Permanent
Salary Range: £43,000 - £55,000 (Negotiable Dependent on Experience)

At Newcastle University International Study Centre, we help students from across the world take their first step towards a world-class education. We are now looking for a Head of Recruitment Proposition to help shape how our centre is positioned globally and to ensure our offer continues to meet the needs of a fast-changing international market.
Reporting to the Centre Director, this role sits at the heart of recruitment and proposition for the centre. You will lead on how our courses, pricing, scholarships and overall proposition are shaped and communicated, making sure we are competitive, compelling and aligned with both the Centre and the wider University strategy. It's a role that blends strategic thinking with real on-the-ground impact.
Much of your success will come through influence and collaboration. You will work closely with INTO's Global Recruitment Unit, marketing, data and market insights teams, and university colleagues to ensure everyone is aligned to shared goals. You will be a passionate advocate for the Centre and for Newcastle University, supporting sales teams in market, strengthening messaging, and having open, constructive conversations when plans need to be challenged or refined.
You will play a key role in developing and reviewing our course portfolio, using insight from data, competitors and market trends to drive improvements and new course development. You will also influence key areas such as pricing, entry requirements, scholarships and sponsor relationships, helping to ensure our offer remains bold, relevant and future-focused. Alongside this, you will support the creation of powerful marketing materials and authentic student content that brings our proposition to life.
Student recruitment is central to this role. You will contribute to global recruitment strategy, act as a key link between the Centre, the University and the Global Recruitment Unit, provide regular performance reporting and market insight, and represent the Centre at international and inbound recruitment activity when required.
This is a predominantly centre-based role, with a strong on-site presence needed, especially during peak recruitment periods. Some home working is possible, but flexibility and adaptability are essential. There is no direct line management responsibility, aside from oversight of student ambassadors, but the role carries significant influence across teams and stakeholders.
We're looking for someone who is strategic, highly organised and confident communicating at all levels. You'll enjoy building relationships across different teams, cultures and environments, be comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts, and be able to respond with agility as the market continues to evolve. Experience in international education, recruitment, marketing or product development would be an advantage, but your mindset, curiosity and collaborative approach matter just as much.
In return, you'll join a supportive, forward-thinking team with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on students' futures and on the global reach of Newcastle University. We are proud to be an inclusive employer and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. Flexible working and reasonable adjustments are available throughout the recruitment process.
Requirements
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and encourage candidates of all backgrounds and experiences who believe they are suitable for the role to apply. All applications will be reviewed and will receive a response.
