We have an exciting opportunity to Head our reception team at Pool House. We would especially love to hear from anyone with previous clinical experience within the veterinary sector, as we would been keen to incorporate this ability and knowledge into a Head front of house role. However, those with reception or other similar skilled experience, are welcome to apply as full training will be provided.
The role will sit predominantly at this site, but with some time spent at our branches, situated in Armitage, Burntwood and Mere Green, therefore, any candidate must be flexible to travel between sites.
About the role
The role includes managing a large team of receptionists across 4 small animal branches, the role brings a lot of variety and challenges. We are looking for someone who is flexible, has attention to detail, is hardworking and has a proven track record of managing a large team ideally 5 years in a head role. The role also includes a degree of admin for the rota and scheduling shifts for the team and approving holidays as well as delivering appraisal's and acting upon CPD that is required for the team. You will also be in charge of diary management, daily debt and attending practice head meetings so organisation and leadership is key to this role.
This role reports directly to the Practice Manager. You will be part of our front of house client care team so a great telephone and client facing manner is essential. Your role will include the responsibilities of answering incoming telephone calls, checking in and assisting clients and patients at front desk, triaging patients over the phone, putting up prescriptions, taking and allocating payments, cashing up and re-conciliating daily takings. But, most importantly, you are the first face of the client journey and we want someone who can be welcoming, reassuring and professional, to deliver the high standard of customer service we strive for.
Rota
The role will be 40 hours per week across 5 days and includes working weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. The shifts would be split over 5 days and between the hours of 7.30am to 7.30pm Mon-Fri as well as a requirement to be involved with weekend and bank holiday cover.
