Role Overview:

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Project Management with a solid track record in quantitative market research tracking. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated person who prides themselves on their leadership abilities and who thrives in a multi-market, multi-stakeholder environment. This is a key leadership role, driving the delivery of large and complex tracking programmes efficiently in our UK business.

What will I be doing?

  • Team leadership: Leading and supporting the PM team in their collective and individual achievement of objectives for the business they manage; helping coach individuals as they develop their careers.
  • Establishing clear objectives and driving implementation of project management strategy across the account, identifying needs, removing barriers and driving change.
  • Working across the senior account leadership team to drive a "One Team" culture across multiple programmes and within the different teams e.g. Research, Operations, Offshore. Drive communication channels and cross-programme collaboration.
  • Working across the account leadership team to identify needs, removing barriers, driving change management to optimize the effectiveness of how we work with the client teams.
  • With a strong client first approach, supporting the research teams with client briefs through to delivery, leading thinking on approaches for complex trackers, managing risks and issues.
  • A key presence in the client facing leadership of the account, working as a team to manage relationships with global and local client teams.
  • Financial ownership of the account alongside the Senior Research Director, ensuring the continued success and retention of the account.
  • Overseeing programme costing and negotiations with client procurement team, overseeing the management of financial performance across the programmes, owning the delivery of financial reporting to the business and team
  • Objectively assessing situations and driving our teams to negotiate with clients and suppliers to optimize profit across the business.
  • Establishing, implementing and managing best practice processes and employee behaviours for best-in-class project management support of research projects.
  • Continually striving for efficiency through innovation, implementing better ways of working and upskilling individuals to deliver.
  • Working and coordinating with other Service Lines & Project Management teams to leverage best practices for most efficient, high quality delivery of services and profitable business.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

What do I need to bring with me?

We are looking for an ambitious, highly motivated and experienced leader with expert skills in quantitative market research tracking (essential), to drive the efficient delivery of projects to a major Client across our UK business.

You'll have a proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams to achieve success. You'll display courage as a leader and be able to make tough decisions, driving success through expertise.

You'll also bring:

  • Ability to execute plans to strategy through strong change management, be confident in making financial decisions and in analyzing and driving financial success
  • Ability to handle clients and suppliers at a very high level, being commercially astute, and having the flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business and the client
  • Ability to multi-task, looking after many varying initiatives and teams simultaneously with excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship skills across functions and geographies, with proven ability to operate in a matrixed and offshore delivery environment
  • High levels of impact, accountability, resilience and project management competence. Effectively steps back and directs, whilst also judging when to personally get stuck in

The Market Strategy & Understanding (MSU) Service Line performs strategic research to deliver contextual understanding to help clients navigate dynamic markets. Our offer portfolio consists of strategic brand research as well as category & consumer fundamentals. We work with clients to understand the size and composition of a market as well as the segments/profiles/demand spaces therein. We also specialize in brand equity, brand assets, brand stretch and open category opportunities (e.g. whitespace).
