We create world-class exhibitions and live events for clients all over the world. We typically deliver 200+ events per year across 6 continents.
Most of our team are based in Bristol, Stratford upon Avon and North Devon. We also have offices in London, San Francisco and Singapore.
We work with a range of B2B clients across most industry sectors, from leading brands through to Government departments, and our events include anything and everything, from conferences and exhibitions, through to product launches, brand activations and roadshows.
Role
About the role...
We are looking for a Head of Production to join our team and spearhead our team, developing closer collaborative working across the business, into what is set to be an exciting 2025 and beyond. This is a very exciting, rare opportunity within an award-winning agency.
Reporting to the Head of Events, you will be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and aspirations to build and grow a production team. You will embrace original thinking and adapt well in dynamic, creative environment.
You will be responsible for leading a talented team of production specialists across the agency by developing a range of events. You will work closely with other HODs to drive quality and innovation in the world-class delivery of events for our clients.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead and support a growing team
• Line management and resource management
• Onboard and manage freelance specialists as required, ensuring the needs of the business and clients are met
• Ensure teams work collaboratively to produce first-class brand experiences
• Drive innovation, work closely with creative to help develop ideas and concepts to wow clients
• Be the centre of excellence within the agency for all technical production (technical, scenic, exhibition, AV, rigging, H&S) requirements
• Work with the new business and client services team to support and contribute to new business pitches and bids
• Oversee the creation of and at times produce quotes, CAD plans, rigging plans, power plans, crew schedules. Create RAMS and event safety plans
• Attend client meetings and conduct technical site visits - globally, with clients, suppliers, venues and other stakeholders
• Ensure all Health & Safety and business compliance, including ISO requirements are met
• Develop and oversee supplier relationships, negotiate terms and SLAs with suppliers
The person:
• Experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of working within an agency environment with experience of working directly with clients on event briefs
• Broad knowledge and experience of production disciplines, sound, lighting, video, rigging, power, staging, exhibitions, transport, logistics, health and safety
• Passionate about innovation, with a curious mind to bring impactful in-person experiences on a global stage
• Able to manage multiple events of varying sizes from conception through to completion
• Brilliant planning skills with ability to work under pressure during peak times
• Ideally hold NEBOSH qualifications
• Willing to travel in the UK and Globally for site visits and event delivery
