Role Description:

This is an exciting new role and a brilliant opportunity to build a photography department from the ground up. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will shape a team that delivers high-quality imagery for marketing, client, and operational needs while driving revenue and business growth.

You will oversee the team (currently two photographers and one administrator), ensuring smooth operations, creative excellence, and team development.

We're looking for someone who is both commercially minded and creatively driven, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for photography and videography. The ideal candidate will be able to balance business growth with creative vision, ensuring the team produces exceptional imagery while also identifying opportunities for revenue and expansion.

What You'll be Doing:

• Create rate cards and tools to increase revenue from photography and videography with BUILDHOLLYWOODS clients
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Photography Team, including hiring new recruits when required and supporting them with their development and goals.
• Inspire and move the visual direction of the marketing forward by bringing new sources of ideas and creativity to your meetings with the senior team.
• Work closely with the MD to improve processes and output to develop a new photography department that focuses on visual creativity and excellence, great client service, smooth processes, and a growing revenue contribution to the wider business.
• Oversee the quality and style of our marketing imagery. Providing feedback and direction to keep our imagery fresh and on brand.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop and improve our photography guidelines.
• Oversee the smooth running and implementation of the weekly shoot list, and manage any photo and video shoot requests outside of the weekly shoots.
• Develop and manage the freelance team ensuring we have great partners in every city we work in.
• Develop and run our photo archive building on its current uses and capabilities to make it an even more powerful resource for the business.
• Understand and develop tools to ensure the necessary contracts and consents are in place when capturing images and footage.
• Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the proof of posting process.
• Help to develop our videography offer for both for our brand and for our clients.
• Work closely with the MD to create services and strategies to increase revenue derived from photographic services.
• Raise the profile and the visibility of the photography department in the business by collaborating and communicating with all relevant teams

About You:

• Experience in a photography-led role - ideally with a background in commercial, editorial, or marketing photography.
• Possess creative vision and a passion for photography and videography.
• Possess strong commercial awareness with demonstrable experience of identifying revenue opportunities and driving business growth.
• Experience in leading, mentoring and developing a team.
• Be an excellent communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Have strong organisation and project management skills.
