Kiwa UK is looking for a Head of Pest Consultancy to join our Pest Consultancy within Kiwa Agri Food. To provide overall management of the day-to-day operations of the team. This role is a remote/field-based position.

  • Reporting to the Business Unit Leader, provide both strategic and day to day management of the KIPC Team.
  • Lead the Team to deliver a best-in-class service to stakeholders, in particular Customers and Business Development.
  • To lead and actively engage in creating business development opportunities - this will be directly with prospective and current customers; whilst also collaborating with Business Development on opportunities and developing a business development/sales strategy for KIPC.
  • Working with the central marketing team, to lead on the development of marketing content to promote the services of KIPC.
  • Work with the Principal Consultants ensuring that resources are in place to ensure optimal, efficient delivery of services, with the team having clear communication on the expectations of the roles and delivery targets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strong quality and customer focused KIPC Delivery team.
    Ensure team development and training to support clear succession plans.
  • Build and maintain a strong fit for purpose Team, ensure talent is attracted and retained in the business.
  • Ensure effective operating systems, delivering efficient and quality delivery of services across the range of KIPC services.
  • Proactively lead effective team meetings, ensuring inputs and outcomes are communicated effectively to KIPC colleagues.
  • Ensure all employees in the KIPC Team receive a meaningful appraisal in line with the company's processes and procedures.
  • Support accurate and timely reporting of KIPC activity.
  • Supporting on, creating and building the budget, contributing to growth across the Agri Food business.
  • Ensure that CE is continually kept up to date throughout the KIPC team.
  • Is a key member of the Agri Food SMT, leading and implementing strategy/action plans.
  • To deliver a minimum level of 'in field' delivery with customers, circa 3.5 - 7 days/month.
  • To have full ownership of the P&L for KIPC, including revenue and costs.
  • To continually evaluate working procedures, ensuring efficient delivery across the team.
  • To engage with the Principal Technical Consultants on allocation and scheduling of work.

Expected managerial competencies:

  • Operational management experience.
  • Resilience, dynamism, an aptitude for problem solving and teamwork, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results orientated.
  • Ability to engage and influence colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels.
  • Relevant experience of managing customers, employees, and shareholders expectations.
  • Budget management awareness with the ability to work to set targets.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of lT tools (Microsoft Office etc).

Expected technical knowledge and competencies:

  • The principles of lntegrated Pest Management and practical application of these.
  • Public health and food storage pests.
  • Pesticide formulations and application techniques.
  • Food safety legislation and practices.
  • Pest control and pesticide legislation and safety practices.
  • Risk assessments.

  • £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
