Head of Marketing

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

The business

We're building a business fit for the AI era.

Over the last eight years, we've grown a respected, impactful, consulting practice - providing sector expert, street smart, and hands-on support to clients in and around the public sector. Our differentiation has enabled us to build unusually strong, trusting and recurrent relationships with clients across central Government, the education, and health and social care markets.

Over the last 18 months, we've been reflecting on what our clients and markets will need from us over the next ten years - as they grapple with an increasingly complex, changing world, including not least coming wave of AI disruption and opportunity. So, this autumn we'll be rebranding our business - and confirming some exciting evolutions to our propositions and model.

We won't set out all of those changes in detail here - but can give you a preview in the later stages of the selection process. What we can say is that we're building a very different kind of professional services business; one that is more global, more connected, more digital, and more sophisticated than the term 'consulting' conveys - even when it's been us doing the consulting.

One thing that won't be changing is our expectations of our people. We want the best. We want people with huge ambition for themselves, and their clients - and an appetite for work to match. Ambition without work is dreaming; we're not dreaming - we're building something. We want people who are intensely clever - and street-smart, such that they can get business done in complex, real world, client environments. And we want people with imagination and heart. Navigating the foggy road ahead will require both - as will our enjoyment of the journey.

To brilliantly execute our rebrand, and leverage it to drive progress toward our ambitions for the business, we're creating a new, dedicated, marketing and networking role. To date, we've won work on the basis of our relationships and growing reputation. As we step into our new brand identity we need to 'turn our light on' - systematically promoting our propositions, whilst extending our network of collaborators around the world.

We're looking for someone with the combination of comms and marketing expertise required to lead a sustained, savvy, brand-building effort which delivers measurable impacts on our revenue, reputation and relationships. Our only prescription about that effort is that it should be on-brand, bold and imaginative. It will be for the successful candidate to determine what combination of activities we should invest in - through preparation of a plan for board approval.

If you have the expertise, energy, and ambition to lead this aspect of our journey drop us a line.
