Job Role: Head of Performance and Growth - Fire Safety Services
Location: London or surrounding areas
Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of Job
We are seeking a commercially driven and client-focused leader to take ownership of growth in our fire door and fire asset inspection services within the residential and wider markets. The head of performance and growth will be responsible for developing and executing a clear growth strategy, winning new business, expanding existing client relationships, and positioning our business as a trusted provider of compliance-led fire safety solutions.
This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic direction with practical business development execution, and is ideally suited to someone with proven commercial experience in the fire safety, property services, sales development or compliance sector.
Main Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and deliver a growth plan for residential fire door and fire asset inspection services.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with housing associations, property managers, developers, and FM providers.
- Deliver revenue and margin growth targets through effective pricing, negotiation, and service design.
- Report on pipeline performance, forecasts, and growth initiatives to the leadership team and investors.
Client Development & Market Engagement
- Act as the senior commercial lead for residential sector clients.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and sector forums to strengthen market presence.
- Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with operations and delivery teams to ensure services meet and exceed client expectations.
- Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns, bids, and client communications.
- Provide client feedback and insights into service innovation and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Accountability
- Lead by example as a senior figure within the business, promoting a performance-driven and client-focused culture.
- Establish and monitor commercial KPIs, including pipeline growth, conversion rates, margin performance, and client retention.
- Support the wider senior leadership team in building value and preparing the business for its next stage of growth.
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in business development or commercial leadership in property services, compliance, fire safety or other relevant markets.
- Strong understanding of the residential property market and its key stakeholders (housing associations, local authorities, managing agents) desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of fire safety legislation (Fire Safety Act, Building Safety Act, fire door regulations, FRA obligations) desirable.
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Strong networking, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
