Head of People Partnering

This is a genuinely exciting time to join us and we're looking for a Head of People Partnering to lead the HR partnering model across Connells Group's Central Functions, while working closely with HR Business Partners in Estate Agency and Lender Services to deliver a cohesive, end-to-end people agenda. The role drives organisational performance and business transformation by aligning people strategy to commercial priorities, strengthening leadership and organisational capability, and embedding a high-performance, customer-centred culture across all three business areas.
This is a hybrid role with UK travel.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Strategic partnering & leadership
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to Central Function leaders and executing people plans that enable growth, efficiency and regulatory robustness.
- Lead and develop a small team of HR Business Partners.
- Translate Group and divisional strategies into integrated people roadmaps, ensuring clear linkages to customer outcomes, profitability and risk management.
Organisational design & change
- Lead organisational design initiatives for Central Functions, ensuring structures, spans, roles and accountabilities are fit for a large, multi-brand, multi-channel group.
- Partner with business and transformation leads across Estate Agency and Lender Services on the people elements of major change programmes ensuring effective consultation, engagement and implementation.
- Embed strong change management disciplines and tools, coaching leaders to communicate, lead and land change in a way that protects customer service and colleague experience.
Capability, talent & leadership development
- Build leadership capability across Central Functions and support HRBPs to ensure a consistent leadership framework and expectations Group-wide.
- Work with Talent and Learning & Development to identify critical functional and Group-wide capabilities and design development interventions, talent pipelines and succession plans.
- Champion a talent culture that prioritises internal mobility, clear career paths and robust succession.
Performance, culture & colleague experience
- Shape and embed a high-performance culture that balances sales delivery in Estate Agency, service excellence in Lender Services and operational rigour in Central Functions.
- Support leaders to use performance management, feedback and coaching effectively, ensuring clarity of expectations and consequences for under- and over-performance.
- Use people analytics and insight to identify hotspots, diagnose root causes and design targeted interventions that improve colleague experience and business outcomes.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Senior HR leadership experience (Head of HR or equivalent) within a complex, multisite or multi-brand organisation, ideally customer-centric or regulated.
- Proven ability to lead organisation design and deliver business change at pace in both head office and distributed operational environments.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, analytical capability and pragmatism, balancing strategic thinking with delivery.
- Expertise in leadership development, talent and workforce planning.
- Skilled stakeholder manager with credibility, influence and the confidence to challenge constructively.
