YOUR ROLE

Our award-winning International Showfeight team based at the NEC Arena Birmingham is looking to recruit a highly experienced and customer centric Exhibition Head of Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational leader to manage all domestic operations through excellent people management practices, productivity and clientele results.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will lead and manage a team of 6 direct reports to deliver outstanding operational performance and customer service excellence, ensuring both efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring portfolio budgets and presenting regular reviews/reports to the Managing Director based upon Client Account performance, subsequently anlalysing individual forecasts regarding initial budgets and applying corrective actions to ensure budget achievements. It is crucial that you will foster a safe and secure culture whereby each team member priorities their stance on health & safety and continuous improvement.

You will actively monitor and manage achievements against contract targets and key performance indicators to ensure that failure to achieve is addressed effectively with contract management and any resulting client issues resolved.

With a heavy focus on driving efficiency and productivity, you will act as a key interface with organisers, maintaining effective customer satisfaction to support continued contract development and any renewal processes. You will prepare and present business proposals to prospective and existing organisers.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing in a large-scale, fast paced logistics operation within the in the exhibition industry.

Due to the nature of the role, we will require an individual who is able to commit to a flexible working pattern. You will be required to travel across the globe attending, managing and delivering high-profile entertainment events and showcases. Due to this, working outside of the standard office hours is common therefore a high degree of flexibility is essential.

It is also essential that you have experience managing multiple teams and clientele across numerous locations. Our ideal candidate will be well rounded in all aspects of management such as knowledge on how to handle Employee Relations, Health and Safety, Recruitment and Budgeting processes.

A management or leadership qualification is also desired, however not essential if a sufficient exhibition industry experience can be proven.
