Aon are currently recruiting a Head of Office to join our Commercial Risk - Corporate team in Manchester.

What the day will look like

Implement the Regional and National Strategy at branch level

Input to regional strategy and through the Regional Director input into national strategy

In conjunction with the Regional Director and Head of Operations and leadership team, develop and agree the branch business plan

Develop an external profile that positions Aon as the preferred broker and be the branch 'Face of Aon'

Business Management:

Build and maintain a systematic approach to account planning, servicing and delivery, ensuring full utilisation by client management, sales, servicing and broking teams.

Lead all revenues through client profitability data, time tracking data, activity analysis, accurate forecasting, highlighting jeopardy accounts and ensuring invoicing is up-to-date.

Track client satisfaction through the use of surveys and direct feedback.

Handle internal relationships with Trade Credit, Premium Finance, Claims and Operations amongst others, including commercial aspects such as interdependency and revenue sharing.

Ensure all FSA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner

Build relationships with local insurers to ensure Aon is priced and serviced at agreed levels

Client Development, Management and Retention:

Develop, implement and supervise client retention strategy for the branch.

To be responsible for and sign-off on client defences.

Develop and maintain a systematic approach to the organic growth process for all existing clients.

Agree growth targets with Regional Director.

Proactively sell Risk Management, Claims, Premium Finance and other Aon products and services.

Working with the Sales team, deliver profitable revenue growth including new business, growth and retention.

Agree client servicing priorities and ensure effective working arrangements are maintained between parties.

People Management:

Lead the branch management team through coaching, development and performance management, ensuring completed objectives with supporting personal development plans in place.

Ensure all team members attend relevant personal development courses in line with their role.

Develop and support team members in the achievement of their objectives through coaching and mentoring.

Retain, develop and attract dedicated individuals in line with business plans.

Build and maintain succession plans for key roles within the branch.

Ensure the branch management team coach, develop, lead and set objectives for their teams with active development plans in place.

Adhere to all HR policies and processes.

Work with the regional and branch leadership team to develop a working environment where people are positive, motivated and enthusiastic.

Work with the regional and branch leadership teams to improve key 'cultural' characteristics of the overall Commercial Insurance business: enthusiasm, customer focus, innovation, accountability.

Wider development contribution:

Work with the regional and branch leadership team to develop the overall Commercial Insurance business.

Contribute to furthering revenue growth/ client retention for Aon as a whole.

Provide support as requested by other units of Aon to retain clients.

Support appropriate wider Aon initiatives.

Ensure local and regional methodology are shared across the business.

Marketing and brand awareness activities - publications, public speaking, professional association participation etc - that build and maintain a high profile for Aon within the local business communities.

Compliance:

Promote all compliance related requirements throughout the branch and find opportunities for process improvement.

Ensure all agreed practices and tools are actively and consistently applied.

Take primary responsibility for ensuring staff awareness and conformances to all compliance related requirements.

Lead by example by ensuring own activity complies with regulatory requirements and business procedures.

Encourage staff to be actively involved in raising awareness of non- conformances and ideas for improvements.
