Join the Wayman Group team as Head of Maths at a wonderful school located in Guildford, Surrey. This full-time position is available for a starting date in April. We are seeking an exceptional individual with a passion for Mathematics to lead the Mathematics department and play an integral role in shaping the future of our students. As the Head of Maths, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate our talented students, while fostering a love for the subject and nurturing their mathematical abilities. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring the delivery of an engaging and effective Maths curriculum
• Provide guidance and support to Maths teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive teaching culture
• Monitor and assess student progress in Maths, implementing interventions when necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
• Mentor and support Maths teachers in their professional development
• Contribute to the school's Maths program and extracurricular activities
• Maintain accurate records of student assessment, attendance, and behavior

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, Specialization in Mathematics or a related field, Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred), Extensive experience in teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role, Deep knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum, Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities, Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Mathematics education
