About this Role
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Mathematics to takefull responsibility for the leadership of the mathematics curriculum at theCollege for the new academic year. Thepost holder will be expected to develop a team culture that fosterscollaborative working between all teaching staff in the subject, ensuring afocused commitment to the delivery of a high-quality learning experience, withexcellent examination results for all students.
Situated within easy reach of Birmingham City Centre, we are a highlysuccessful and vibrant College, having been graded as 'outstanding' in allcategories once again in February 2024 by Ofsted. Our college excels inproviding a broad, inclusive and high-quality education to all of our learners,which has resulted in some of the highest levels of progression to HigherEducation in the sector. In 2024,students at Joseph Chamberlain College achieved excellent exam results, as theyhave done for many years.

Salary: The salary for this post is paid on the Sixth Form College Teacher's mainscale up to £56,709 per annum, which includes a management allowance of £5195. An enhanced salary for an exceptional candidate may beavailable by negotiation.
Start Date: 1st September 2026. The first day of work will be Thursday 20th August2026, and you will be expected to work from this date and will receiveadditional payment for this.
