About the role:
The Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations is a member of the Marketing Leadership Team and will support the VP of Marketing in developing and executing marketing strategies and operations for the entire marketing team. This includes preparing key presentations and supporting with key marketing meetings and leading the operating rhythm for the marketing team.
The role is also responsible for developing and executing media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement, managing media agencies, optimising media plans and leading community management and capability. This role involves working with the brand teams to manage all aspects of paid media campaigns, including planning, execution, optimization, and analysis.
The Community area is responsible for building and nurturing a strong online community and social presence around the brands. This role involves managing owned social media channels and fostering a positive brand image.
The capability area is responsible for building marketing capability within the team. This role is also responsible for agency management of scope of work and agency reviews. In addition, this role leads the marketing planning and operations team and responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Support VP of Marketing in developing and executing marketing strategies and operations for the entire marketing team and support the marketing and digital transformation agenda. This includes preparing key presentations and supporting with key marketing meetings managing agendas, minutes and follow ups.
- Operational Leadership: Design and manage the operating rhythm for the marketing team, ensuring efficient and effective functioning through routines and processes such as annual brand planning. media planning process and regular marketing meetings, etc.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve marketing processes and workflows to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Marketing planning & operations: Lead marketing planning and operations team and areas of responsibilities. Bringing together beer and soft drinks, across brands, categories and channels.
- Media Strategy: Support the senior media manager in working with the brand teams to develop and implement media strategies that support marketing objectives across various paid platforms (e.g., social media, search engines, display networks, AV, OOH, Retail Media, etc.).
- Media Innovation: Support the senior media manager in championing innovation in media planning to improve our campaign effectiveness, testing new ideas, initiatives, platforms and data sources.
- AI & Digital: Support strategic initiatives in AI, MarTech, media and digital marketing to fuel business growth and lead marketing and media transformation agenda with priority in digital.
- Agency Management: Work with Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and procurement to manage marketing agency relationships, including defining scopes of work and agency reviews. Oversee relationship with media agency, including quarterly performance reviews (QBR), buying audits and industry insight, etc.
- Marketing Capability: Lead the development and implementation of marketing capabilities to drive business growth. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing team capability, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Community Management & Digital: Accountable for Community Management including developing and implementing social media and community engagement strategies to drive brand engagement and brand loyalty.
- Team Leadership: Lead the Marketing strategy and operations team driving a high-performance culture and team engagement.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Proven track record in media planning and buying across various platforms (e.g., social media, search engines, display networks, AV, OOH, Retail Media).
- Proven track record of managing media agencies and executing successful media campaigns.
- Familiarity with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, including AI and MarTech.
- Knowledge of community engagement strategies and social media management and experience in managing social media channels and building online communities and fostering positive brand images.
- Experience in marketing strategy development and execution.
- Expertise in optimizing marketing processes and workflows to enhance productivity
- Experience in managing relationships with marketing agencies, including defining scopes of work and conducting reviews
- Experience/knowledge in leading and developing marketing capabilities within an organization.
- Budget Management: Proficiency in managing budgets and resource allocation to maximize ROI.
- Proven experience in leading a team and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and agencies.
- Ability to innovate, experiment and adapt to the changing landscape of marketing and shape marketing approach in the business. Experience in marketing experimentation, designing and executing experimental methodologies.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing efforts.
- Ability to support the VP of Marketing in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership skills to drive the marketing and operations agenda
- Excellent communication skills for preparing presentations, managing meetings, and collaborating with stakeholders.
