About the role

We are looking for a Head of Marketing & Growth to head up Vitl's Marketing function. Reporting directly to the Founder, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeing all of Vitl's DTC marketing activities, as well as providing support to retail and affiliated business ventures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong data driven performance marketing background, as well as experience with brand and creative. Alongside a small (but mighty!) team, you will build upon Vitl's established brand & marketing strategy to drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Build on a data-driven marketing strategy to achieve Vitl's growth objectives
  • Manage paid search (Google) and paid social campaigns (Meta & TikTok) to ensure optimal CPA, including both campaign management and an always-on A/B testing program
  • Own our paid creative strategy by producing highly performance-led creatives to drive paid social performance, supported by agencies & freelancers
  • Drive DTC customer retention through relevant channels, such as CRM and our reward scheme
  • Develop growing channels such as affiliate marketing, brand partnerships, and SEO. You will also be responsible for discovering new performance-led channels such as influencer marketing
  • Own DTC data and analytics including regular reporting, budget analysis, website metrics, and monthly forecasting. You will also conduct ad hoc analyses to optimise acquisition and retention efforts
  • Build on Vitl's brand strategy to further elevate brand awareness and proposition, from PR, influencer marketing and credentials, to helping redefine our brand guidelines

Requirements

A bit about you

  • Hands on, proactive and self-motivated: this is a high impact role where the ability to be hands on is key. An ideal candidate will be excited about elevating the next leading vitamin brand with a lean team and budget, good at prioritisation, and is a proactive self-starter who loves working in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of experience in digital/growth marketing: with a specific focus on paid search and paid social
  • Highly creative: experienced in continuously conceptualising and testing new creatives & assets to grow Meta ads
  • Commercially-minded with a track record of driving substantial growth, and good understanding of key profitability drivers such as retention rate and LTV
  • Strong data skills: Vitl's strength lies in the wealth of data we have gathered about our customers. You'll need a strong ability to dissect performance of our channels, as well as the ability to utilise & manipulate data to gain insights you need to boost acquisition and retention. Good experience in analytics tool such as GA4 and Heap; big data management and visualisation (e.g. proficiency with looker studio) will be beneficial
  • UX and CRO experience such as guiding landing page testing & design that will further help improvise paid performance. Good eye for improvement in web design and usability
  • Budget and forecast management: experience in managing budgets and allocating spend effectively across channels, as well as strong experience in modelling & forecasting future performance
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to grow, inspire and develop high performing teams

Extra credit

  • Experience working in DTC and subscription brands
  • Experience working in a the wellness industry
  • Experience in managing photoshoots & filming, including working with studios & freelancers on creative direction and execution
  • Brand marketing experience: good understanding the role & principle of brand building, and experience in managing brand-led initiatives e.g. PR, working with brand agencies, etc.
  • Proficiency in Google BigQuery & ability to write SQL
  • Experience in growing Amazon brands
