DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Sales leader who wants to build and run a world-class marketing team. Our business is responsible for bringing the Content from our 3P Partners to Fire TV, and Fire Tablet devices, and driving customer engagement across our business.
Our devices and services connect our customers to the videos, apps and games they love through our Appstore and related products. We also support our developers of these apps and games with the mobile commerce services that power unique experiences in their content. Our business in Japan represents one of our largest international marketplaces.
As the Senior Manager, Marketing you will build and lead the strategy for Amazon Appstore across the business. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the activities of our marketing function are strategic, efficient, scalable, and customer obsessed. You will do this as a leader within this business with the responsibility of hiring and developing your team and will evaluate growth opportunities based on industry trends and internal data, being responsible for the P&L in UK .You will also work in collaboration with business development, devices marketing, product marketing, finance and advertising teams to develop new features and grow customer adoption and engagement.
The successful candidate is experienced in multiple marketing channels and willing to continuously test and learn and develop a team of marketers who can do the same. In this role you will accountable for the overall performance of our Marketing function, developing businesses cases, evangelizing new concepts and gaining alignment from senior leadership within Amazon and externally with our App developer partners. He or she must be comfortable in driving high level business decisions, thriving in ambiguous situations, collaborating with others, and building things from scratch.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will have a proven track record for leading successful marketing teams and programs across multiple touch points.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and lead the team; define the marketing strategies that will guide your team and the rest of our business
• Work cross-functionally with business development, marketing, finance, product, sales, insights and analysts, legal, and PR to deliver high quality channel management and programs
• Lead voice of the customer research programs including, brand tracking, NPS & CSAT and call listening workshops to anchor teams on customer insights
• Continually raise the bar on development of new tests and garner learning across website, blog, email and sales enablement channels with a customer-first focus
• Enable partner marketing teams and product marketing to leverage channels to drive adoption for new products and services
• Own operations and prioritization of channel resources; conduct monthly business reviews and annual resource planning
• Ability to identify global stakeholder needs, implement prioritization
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing teams
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in traditional and emerging media channels including TV, OOH, cinema, digital display, online video and paid social
- Experience leading across multiple locales
