About the role.

This is a rare opportunity to develop and lead a group marketing function at a pivotal moment.

We are seeking a commercially minded and strategic Head of Marketing to architect and scale a high-performing, future-ready marketing department; one that is fully aligned to commercial outcomes, deeply integrated with Sales and Insight, and capable of supporting growth across a diverse and evolving portfolio of brands.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will play a central role in shaping how marketing operates across the Group; establishing clarity of purpose, embedding new ways of working, and ensuring marketing is positioned not as a support function, but as a driver of growth.

This is an opportunity to define the model, build the capability, and create a step-change in how marketing contributes to the business - from brand strategy and positioning through to demand generation, insight, and measurable commercial impact.

What you'll do.

Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, divisional Managing Directors and Executive team, you will:

  • Define and deliver a clear, commercially focused marketing strategy aligned to Group growth ambitions, including acquisitions and international expansion.
  • Architect and embed a modern marketing operating model that connects brand, performance, insight, and sales into a cohesive system.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, setting clear priorities, raising standards, and fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish a strong, consistent brand narrative across the PA portfolio, while also enabling divisional brands to perform effectively in their markets
  • Drive integrated, insight-led campaigns that deliver measurable impact - from awareness through to lead generation and revenue contribution.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Insight teams to ensure marketing activity is audience-led, data-informed and commercially effective.
  • Develop a robust measurement framework, using data to continuously optimise performance and demonstrate ROI.
  • Strengthen PA Media Group's market presence through thought leadership, events, and external engagement.
  • Ensure effective governance of brand, budget and external partners, balancing consistency with agility.

About you.

You are a senior marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You understand how to build and scale marketing capability in complex, multi-brand environments and you are motivated by the opportunity to create something new, not simply manage what exists.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in B2B marketing, with a strong track record across brand, campaign, and performance marketing
  • Proven experience shaping and leading marketing strategy in commercially driven organisations.
  • A strong understanding of how marketing, sales and insight integrate to drive growth.
  • Experience operating across multiple brands, business units, or markets.
  • A data-led mindset, with the ability to translate insight into action and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including at Executive level.
  • A passion for building teams and developing talent, creating a culture of high performance and creativity.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership and ROI accountability.

Experience of transformation, change management, or building marketing functions across divisions or international markets would be highly advantageous.
