The Digital Solutions division (vmlyr-digitalsolutions.com which will soon merge into vml.com) is dedicated to providing innovative, enterprise-grade software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms facilitating Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, analytics and insights for medical affairs, field medicine and commercial teams in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.

The role

In this newly created role as Head of Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives and executing impactful campaigns that enhance our market presence and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with our company's goals.
  • Lead our marketing team in promoting our digital solutions, focusing on KOL mapping and identification services.

Team Management:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
  • Foster a creative work environment that encourages team members to excel.

Campaign Development:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create compelling content that resonates with our target audience.

Brand Positioning:

  • Drive initiatives to enhance brand awareness and positioning.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Utilise market insights to inform marketing strategies and identify areas for business expansion.

Performance Analytics:

  • Establish KPIs for marketing initiatives and regularly analyse campaign effectiveness.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimise marketing strategies and improve overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior marketing role within the life science industry, focusing on digital solutions (product management).
  • Expertise in KOL mapping, identification and engagement services is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
