As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire a skilled and experience Head of Logistics.

We're one of the fastest growing D2C e-commerce business with a global footprint, selling directly to customers worldwide. Our products are sourced from suppliers across the Far East, relying on our network 3PL warehousing in multiple countries with a mission to deliver unique, high-quality products at great value while continuously enhancing the customer experience.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Logistics to oversee and optimise our global logistics and supply chain operations. This role will be pivotal in ensuring efficient freight forwarding from suppliers, managing 3PL warehouse performance, and optimizing outbound and return carrier processes across multiple regions. A key focus will be on driving down logistics costs, ensuring smooth warehouse operations, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Freight Forwarding & Supplier Coordination:
    Oversee the end-to-end freight forwarding process from suppliers in the Far East to 3PL warehouses in the UK, EU, and US, ensuring timely and cost-efficient shipments and strategies.
  • 3PL Warehouse Management:
    Manage relationships with 3PL warehouse providers, ensuring high performance across all regions. Monitor and report on key metrics, including warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy, and on-time dispatch.
  • Cost Control & Optimization:
    Drive continuous improvement in logistics costs, focusing on freight pricing, warehousing costs, and carrier efficiency. Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service levels.
  • Carrier Performance & Returns Management:
    Manage relationships with outbound and return carriers, ensuring performance metrics are met and service costs are minimized. Oversee return processes to ensure fast, customer-friendly solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with buying, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to ensure that supply chain activities align with business goals. Provide logistical input for key campaigns, product launches, and inventory planning.
  • Customer Service Insights:
    Collaborate with the Customer Service team to extract insights on delivery and returns performance, using feedback to identify areas of improvement and to enhance the customer experience.
  • Forecasting & Reporting:
    Own the logistics forecasting process, working with finance and operations teams to predict costs and capacity needs. Regularly report on logistics KPIs, including cost per shipment, on-time delivery, and warehouse performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience in a senior logistics or supply chain role within a fast-paced e-commerce environment
  • Expertise in managing 3PL relationships and freight forwarding operations across multiple countries
  • Strong understanding of global logistics, including carrier management, warehouse operations, and return processes
  • Demonstrable success in cost reduction and process optimisation
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to forecast, report, and communicate logistics performance
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and
