Head of Libraries Systems/ Transport Manager | 8192 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £55,147 to £60,676 per annum | (Grade M) | Norwich

Norfolk Library and Information Service is looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to drive the development of modern, accessible, and responsive library services across the county. About the Role
You will lead a portfolio of responsibilities, focusing on key transformation projects, infrastructure, digital services, and financial management, to ensure that our Library and Information Service is robust and available for Norfolk communities to safely utilise. You will also manage our mobile library service and fleet.
As a member of our senior leadership team, you will work closely with colleagues to oversee service delivery and shape policy to ensure positive outcomes for the County Council and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee library estate of buildings and vehicles, including 47 library buildings, ensuring they are maintained and accessible.
Manage library IT systems, including self-service technology, and lead of data security for the service.
Drive transformation projects, optimising service delivery and value for money.
Lead performance and financial planning, ensuring resources are managed effectively.
Direct strategic commissioning, ensuring services align with the County Council's vision, and manage commissioned arrangements to ensure value for money.

What We're Looking For
A visionary leader with proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and service development. You will have expertise in digital transformation, infrastructure management and commissioning, with a strong focus on delivering customer-focused solutions.
Ideally, you'll hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in National Road Transport. If you don't currently hold a CPC but still think this is the role for you, and you are prepared to carry out the work needed to reach qualification within 6 months of appointment, we still welcome your application.
