You will develop and execute communications strategies that align with global objectives while meeting the unique needs of local markets. Your goal is to strengthen RETN's reputation, enhance brand visibility, and deliver measurable results across all owned, earned, and event-driven channels.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Communication Development:
- Design and execute global and local marketing communication strategies across various owned and earned channels, ensuring measurable results.
- Align communication materials, messaging, and publications with company objectives to enhance brand consistency and visibility.
- Provide expert counsel to Southeast Asia teams on marketing channels, messaging and company positioning, ensuring alignment with global strategies while addressing regional nuances.
• PR and Media Relations:
- Build and maintain effective media relations.
- Secure high-impact coverage in telecom, technology, and business media.
- Utilise newsjacking and comments opportunities in press.
- Deliver key messages via various channels effectively.
• Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate PR crises and protect the company's reputation.
• Events Management:
- Plan, manage, and execute events across Southeast Asia, including industry events, RETN own events and partner events.
- Integrate events into content strategy and broader marketing campaigns for maximum ROI.
• Content Creation and Storytelling:
- Develop compelling content for diverse audiences, including press releases, thought leadership, ghost writing, blogs, and case studies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and agencies to create content that supports business goals and drives engagement.
• Social Media:
- Advise on most effective comms channels for the region and develop compelling content strategy for our target audiences.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with local and global teams, including sales, technical, and marketing teams.
Qualifications
• Must-Haves:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or marketing communications, with a focus on Southeast Asia.
- Proven experience in the telecom or tech industry, with a deep understanding of relevant products and communication strategies.
- Hands-on experience in event management, from planning to execution.
- Strong storytelling and content development skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences.
- Native or near-native Putonghua proficiency, both written and spoken
- B2/C1 English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Track record of managing media relationships and collaborating with external agencies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to bridge global strategies with regional execution.
• Nice-to-Haves:
- Spokesperson experience or experience in public speaking
- Fluency in additional Southeast Asian languages.
- Familiarity with the latest PR tools, insights, and trends in content marketing.
