South Bank Colleges (SBC) and South Bank Academies (SBA), part of the prestigious LSBU Group, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of IT Services to join our team on a permanent basis. This critical role is designed to enhance and promote our ongoing commitment to establishing and maintaining the security and fit for purpose IT service at the Colleges and Academies.

As a Head of IT Services will lead and manage the delivery of the LSBU Group IT Strategy at SBC and SBA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of a helpful, responsive, and courteous service to all SBC and SBA users by the IT Service support team and to work in co-operation with all sections of the LSBU Group IT in delivering excellent customer service.

  • To manage the delivery of effective IT service support to all users either remotely (via email, telephone, web chat etc) or at their workplace locations (offices, laboratories, lecture theatres, classrooms, etc.) to resolve incidents and fulfil user service requests cover IT equipment

  • Actively seek and review customer feedback to improve IT services, employing a continuous improvement approach to service delivery.

  • To be responsible for the effective delivery of services in line with LSBU / SBC timeframes and within the IT budget. Contribute to the future planning, forecasting and setting of the annual IT budget.

  • To manage a team of IT Services staff, in line with the LSBU Group values, to provide services which will ensure the safe, effective and efficient use of resources to support the IT requirements of SBC and SBA.

  • To ensure local risks are identified and communicated to LSBU IT Services and SBC Senior Management Team.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in IT services management.

  • A minimum degree in an IT based subject or extensive experience in a similar post

  • Exceptional written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.

  • Strong teamwork and networking abilities, alongside the competence to independently plan, prioritise, and organise workload.

  • Experience in meeting tight deadlines.
