The Group Internal Audit Team was formed during 2023, following the delivery of significant governance improvement. The role holder will have a once in a career opportunity to shape and develop a Technology Audit function within a fast paced global omni-channel FTSE 100 retailer; a household name. Reporting to the Group Head of Assurance (GHA), the Head of Technology Assurance (HTA) will occupy a senior leadership position and work closely with the GHA in building and managing the Group Internal Audit function.

The role holder will be responsible for planning and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of technology, security and integrated audits across the Group - including oversight of co-source partners in the delivery of the assurance plan. This will consider all areas of the Group's Technology Environment, including: Core IT Processes, IT Service providers, Information Security, and Technology Infrastructure, as well as Data Privacy and Programme Management. As an experienced Technology leader you will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders, and building relationships with the Group CISO and CTO as well as Technology leaders across Core Technology Functions and our Business Units.

This role requires outstanding communication skills, and the ability to convey complex Technology concepts to a non-technical audience. The HTA will be also expected to:

• Demonstrable extensive Technology Audit experience within practice or industry;
• Hold one or more of CISA, CISSP, CIPP/E, CISM, ISO or other relevant technology and security qualifications.
• Have experience of audit and advisory in a wide variety of technology and security topics, in a management capacity - Cyber Security experience would be beneficial.
• Engage regularly with the Group Executive, Divisional Leadership, and the Audit Committee as required.
• Understanding of governance and compliance requirements, and related processes in large and complex organisations, experience in retail preferred.
