About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We're home to the most important conversations happening today and we're making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here's where you can help decide a better future for us all.

How You'll Be Involved
As Head of Investments for the Community Wealth Fund (CWF), you will be a key member of our senior management team, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. This dynamic role involves guiding the CWF through its initial phases, developing a participatory investment strategy that enhances economic opportunities and diversifies leadership in Camden. Your leadership will place Camden citizens at the heart of investment decisions, fostering social justice, local democracy, and civic pride.

You will establish and lead a high-performing investment team, oversee the CWF investment budget, and develop a participatory investment framework. Collaborating with the participation and partnerships team, you will drive meaningful social action and influence senior leaders and elected members, ensuring Camden moves towards a more inclusive and equitable future. Your role will include managing prospective investments, conducting analyses, structuring deals, and negotiating legal documents. Additionally, you will build key investment operations capabilities such as fund administration and risk management, while supporting organisation-wide initiatives and enhancing stakeholder engagement through robust measurement frameworks and compelling narratives.

All About You
We are looking for someone with substantial experience in social investment and impact investment within a fund management capacity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of leading investment deals end to end, showcasing proficiency in managing the entire investment process effectively. Additionally, we look for someone experienced in empowering teams to innovate, fostering new ways of working to achieve solutions.

As a self-starter, you will need to excel at working independently and sourcing new opportunities. Your expertise in project management, team leadership, and supervision should be evident, highlighting your ability to collaborate with professionals and stakeholders to deliver strategic and operational business objectives. Furthermore, your skill in gathering strategic insights and presenting them to key stakeholders will be essential in achieving service vision and organisational strategy. You will also possess a proven history of driving impactful change across entire systems, emphasising your strategic vision and operational capabilities.
