You will build an innovation-led culture, develop high-performing teams, and help future-proof the firm through thoughtful experimentation, emerging technologies and meaningful client engagement.

Your Role

You will have the platform to reimagine how innovation fuels client value, operational excellence and firmwide strategy. Working at the heart of our Technology & Innovation leadership team, you will shape our approach to AI, digital transformation and legal technology driving a programme of fast-paced change that positions Burges Salmon as a leader in modern legal service delivery.

You will build and lead a high-performing Innovation Team of specialists and technologists, empowering them to experiment boldly, prototype and deliver solutions that truly make a difference. Together, you will partner with senior stakeholders across the firm, from Lawyers and Legal Project Manager to Marketing, Finance and Knowledge to nurture a culture where curiosity, creativity and continuous improvement thrive.

What you'll bring

You are a strategic thinker with the pragmatism to deliver. You've driven innovation, technology, or legal operations functions in complex environments, and you know how to influence senior leaders with credibility and insight. You combine deep knowledge of emerging technologies especially AI with an ability to translate them into real-world value.

You have built and inspired multidisciplinary teams, nurtured talent and created environments where people do their best work. You are collaborative by instinct, commercially astute, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with clarity and confidence.

Most importantly, you bring a growth mindset. You challenge assumptions, spot opportunities others miss, and see innovation not as a project but as a culture.
