Our Ways of Working

When you'll be in the office depends on your role, but you can expect to work from our London office between 8-12 days per month.
To support this, the successful applicant should be within a reasonably commutable distance to our office (Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8HB).
About the Role:
We are now looking for a skilled Head of Health, Safety and Environment to join our team and help us to take our safety leadership position within the industry to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a world class HS&E culture across Pod Point and be seen as a leader on HS&E in the EV industry
- Ownership & accountability for Pod Point's HS&E Management Systems and policies, including monitoring, reporting and investigating health and safety risks/incidents across the business
- Owning and guiding the agenda on Health, Safety and Environment across all aspects of our business supporting Business Unit Heads with their risk mitigation plans.
- Obtain and maintain relevant H,S&E accreditations for our business
- Hold the electrical technical standards to which our installation and maintenance teams must operate
- Ensure industry leading training is delivered on our technical processes and procedures.
- Ensure arrangements are in place to manage health and safety risks across all departments and activities
- Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation
Team Management:
- Motivate, inspire, and lead your team to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional outcomes across all areas of H,S&E
- Remove barriers for your team and enable them to have impact across the broad range of activities for which they are responsible.
Collaboration:
- The role holder must build and maintain excellent relationships across Pod Point and beyond. From a HS&E perspective they will be seen as the voice of Pod Point so it is key that the successful applicant can influence and build rapport with external as well as internal stakeholders. This includes suppliers as well, regulatory and government bodies.
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in Health and Safety an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
- Experience in Electric Vehicles, Field Services and/or Construction Design & Management (CDM) a distinct advantage.
- A strong track record of delivery and a desire to continuously improve their function is non-negotiable.
- Senior level interactions and influencing skills
- Have already obtained or willingness to obtain Chartered Membership of IOSH
- A leader who inspires their team to be better and who works collaboratively across functions to deliver the best outcomes for our people and customers.
- Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills.
