About the Role
An Ofsted-rated 'Good' college in Greater Manchester is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Department to lead its Health & Social Care, Early Years, and Science faculties. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and innovate curricula that respond to both learner aspirations and employer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee outstanding delivery of study programmes, apprenticeships, and employer-driven training.
- Ensure timely achievement of programmes across a wide variety of subjects, meeting and exceeding contractual targets.
- Lead on curriculum reform, creating responsive and cutting-edge products that meet the needs of employers, learners, and the wider industry.
- Collaborate as part of the College Management Team to contribute to the strategic direction of the College and strengthen partnerships with local and regional stakeholders.
What you need
- Qualified teacher with a minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Proven management experience within a Health & Social Care, Early Years, or Science education setting.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on innovation and results.
- Ability to inspire staff and students to achieve excellence.
