My client are seeking a skilled professional in Group and Statutory Reporting, with proven expertise in delivering accurate and timely Group consolidations in complex, multi-currency environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of approximately four qualified accountants in Group Reporting
- Oversee the multi-currency IFRS consolidation process and monthly management reporting for the Group
- Manage the planning and execution of interim and year-end external reporting and audits, including preliminary announcements and the Annual Report, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and disclosure requirements, while serving as the main liaison with external auditors
- Handle all technical aspects of the Group's financial statements, including dual reporting (IAS 17/IFRS 16), impairment reviews, and foreign exchange matters, while providing expertise on complex accounting issues
- Contribute to the preparation of Board and Audit Committee papers
- Supervise the production of subsidiary statutory accounts for all legal entities
- Oversee monthly accounting and reporting for the Group's holding companies
- Take ownership of the Group's accounting policies and procedures, coordinating the implementation of new policies and accounting standards such as IFRS 18
- Manage the Group's legal entity structure, including capital arrangements and monitoring distributable reserves
- Play an active role in the development of ESG/sustainability reporting capabilities
- Participate in ad hoc projects, providing support to both the Group finance and business unit finance teams
About You:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive post-qualification experience, ideally in a listed Group function
- Proven experience in multi-currency Group consolidation and listed company reporting, with a strong background in leading teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in finance systems and Excel, with the ability to manipulate and present complex financial data
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK statutory accounts, and relevant disclosure requirements, including IFRS 16
- Confident and effective communicator, capable of building relationships and presenting financial information clearly and concisely
- Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in taking ownership of projects and responsibilities
