Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Head of Greener Grid Park - Development. This new role is required to continue the development of Statkraft's GB Greener Grid Park pipeline and to deliver on the business plan targets.

The responsibilities of the team include, but are not limited to

  • Lead and manage the Greener Grid Park development pipeline in accordance with Statkraft Code of Conduct, rules and requirements with tools and processes in BA Europe (Region 1) and the Statkraft Way and in accordance with HSSE requirements.
  • Lead, manage, organise, and develop the Greener Grid Park team of project managers (Principal PMs, Senior PMs, PMs and Assistant PMs).
  • Work with Commercial Lead - Grid Services to identify future revenue streams including CM tenders and pre-qualifications to add value to project pipeline.
  • Identify and secure land, permits, and grid for each greenfield or acquired Greener Grid Park.
  • Develop projects with land, planning and grid to DG2 in timescales to meet route to market (RtM) contracts and / or RtM opportunities.
  • Support construction in the delivery of projects under construction.
  • Work with the other teams to develop sites and projects with any new technologies identified as applicable to delivering a cost effective zero carbon electricity grid and decarbonising hard to abate fossil fuel powered sectors.
  • Work with other Heads to determine locations and business opportunities for new Greener Grid Parks and to align market opportunities to increase Greener Grid Park pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Higher relevant education within engineering / business / etc, preferably at Master's level.
  • Management position in a large or medium-sized international organisation.
  • Greenfield development of renewable energy projects, preferably in the UK with a focus on securing land, permits, grids and route-to-market.
  • Valuation of projects and sell down of projects.
  • GB Grid/System/Ancillary Services and Energy Storage market knowledge and experience
  • Leadership skills with an ability to build trust and empowerment with employees working in different office locations and partially remotely.
  • Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with business and functional teams.
  • High personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Strong commercial mindset and drive with ability to make good judgements, take decisions and create results.
  • Strong communication skills in English
