This is a highly visible leadership role requiring proven experience in building and transforming quality functions, navigating complex regulatory environments, and balancing commercial priorities with robust quality governance.

  • Act as the senior regulatory authority, ensuring compliance with global, regional, and market-specific regulations.
  • Lead regulatory lifecycle activities including approvals, technical documentation, labelling, claims, and post-market surveillance.
  • Proactively monitor regulatory and geopolitical changes and assess business impact in real time.
  • Lead regulatory engagement, incident response, investigations, recalls, and corrective actions as required.

Supplier Quality & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Set and govern global supplier quality standards, qualification processes, audit programs, and performance frameworks.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Operations to embed robust process controls, reduce quality costs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee quality controls for new suppliers, materials, components, and change management activities.

Quality Analytics & Performance

  • Drive visibility and improvement across key metrics including COPQ, returns and claims, supplier PPM, audit scores, and CAPA effectiveness.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making that supports commercial performance and risk mitigation.

Incident Management & Risk

  • Confidently lead major quality incidents, regulatory escalations, and crisis responses across territories.
  • Maintain robust global risk registers, contingency plans, and change controls across suppliers, categories, and markets.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a global team across four pillars: Regulatory & Compliance, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Analytics.
  • Build succession, technical capability, and leadership depth to support future business growth.
  • Design and evolve the organisation structure in line with business needs.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Deep expertise in global Quality Management Systems and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
  • Extensive experience in supplier quality management and complex cross-border quality issues.
  • Proven leadership in quality strategy development, change management, and team transformation.
  • Strong incident and crisis management experience.
  • Financial acumen, including ownership of global quality budgets.
  • Experience managing external testing houses and navigating regulatory complexity for new products, materials, and markets.
  • High cross-cultural competence and ability to operate effectively in global environments.
  • Proven product quality background across a wide portfolio, ideally within large retail or consumer organisations.
