Wayman Group is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our esteemed client, a prestigious girls school in Westminster, as the Head of German. This full-time position will start in May, and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate German educator who can provide strong leadership and contribute to the success of the German department.

As the Head of German, you will have the privilege of shaping the strategic direction and vision for the department, creating an innovative and engaging German curriculum that supports students' language acquisition and cultural understanding. Your outstanding leadership skills will inspire and motivate both students and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where girls can thrive.

In collaboration with a team of talented and enthusiastic German teachers, you will design and deliver high-quality lessons, utilizing a range of effective teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles. You will also have the opportunity to organize and oversee extracurricular activities that enhance students' linguistic and cultural experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong and visionary leadership to the German department
• Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning in German

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialization in German or a related field
• Postgraduate degree in German or Education (preferred)
• Significant experience teaching German, preferably in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities
• A genuine passion for promoting German language acquisition and cultural understanding
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development in German education
