This full-time position will commence in May, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced German educator who can provide strong leadership and contribute to the growth and success of the German department.

As the Head of German, you will have the privilege of shaping the strategic direction and vision for the department, creating an innovative and engaging German curriculum that fosters students' language acquisition and cultural appreciation. Your outstanding leadership skills will inspire and motivate both students and staff, cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment where girls can thrive.

In collaboration with a team of highly skilled and enthusiastic German teachers, you will design and deliver high-quality lessons, incorporating a range of pedagogical approaches to cater to diverse learning styles. You will also have the opportunity to organize and oversee a variety of extracurricular activities that enhance students' linguistic and cultural experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong and visionary leadership to the German department
• Ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning in German
• Mentor and support German teachers, nurturing their professional development

• Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to German language and culture
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialization in German or a related field
• Postgraduate degree in German or Education (preferred)
• Significant experience teaching German, preferably in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities
• A genuine passion for promoting German language acquisition and cultural appreciation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in German education
