As the Head of Food Technology, you will have the responsibility of leading and managing the Food Technology department. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Food Technology department, providing strategic guidance and support to staff members
• Develop and implement an innovative and comprehensive curriculum that aligns with national standards and prepares students for their future careers
• Create engaging and dynamic lesson plans that cater to students' diverse learning styles
• Foster a passion for food and cooking, creating an environment that ignites students' creativity and enthusiasm
• Organize practical cooking sessions, ensuring students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality ingredients
• Collaborate with industry professionals and other departments to organize workshops, competitions, and field trips that enhance students' learning experiences
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support for growth and improvement

Requirements

• Relevant degree and teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Food Technology at a primary or secondary level
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
• In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Food Technology
• A genuine passion for food and cooking, with a commitment to instilling this passion in students
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
