About the role

  • as the Head of Financial Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the trust, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing accurate and timely financial information to the board and executive management
  • you will lead a team of finance business partners and the Finance Manager and work closely with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and Deputy CEO to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems
  • you will also support the trust's strategic planning and budgeting process, and provide financial analysis and advice to support decision making and risk management.

About you

  • you will have a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and a track record of delivering high-quality financial services in a similar role
  • you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • you will have a passion for education and a commitment to the vision and values of Unity Schools Partnership.
