What's the role about?
You will be joining our Finance team reporting to our Finance Director, to lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Stock Control teams ensuring transactional processes and controls are timely and accurate. The role will include supporting in financial reporting and audit, reporting accurate data and analysis.
This is an exciting time to join our Finance team with multiple transformational projects planned for the department and wider business.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Who you are
Experienced qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with strong technical skills
Advanced Excel skills
Microsoft Business Central & Power BI highly desirable
Retail knowledge desirable
Strong track record of ensuring / implementing strong financial controls and robust processes
What you'll be doing
Play a key role in the implementation of Business Central bringing operational expertise to maximise the full benefits of the new system, including the roll out of additional modules e.g. PO system.
Team management responsibility for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Stock Control ensuring all transactional processes and controls are followed and recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
Conduct team process reviews, taking opportunities to improve process efficiencies across teams.
Support financial reporting and audit - ensuring good quality data and analysis is available.
Ensure monthly reconciliations for cash, stock, payables and receivables are provided to the management accounts reporting team.
Working with the Retail Operations team to improve stock accuracy and processes.
Liaising with landlords to ensure all property-related reporting and payments are made.
Support the Group Financial Controller as required with month-end reporting.
Manage delivery of audit samples, ensuring clear, easy to follow working papers are provided to the group's auditors.
Support with internal audit deliverables and requests.
