About The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior leader to support the FD in developing and strengthening the financial control and reporting function to optimise efficiency. As this role has a high level of stakeholder and team engagement we are predominantly looking for the successful individual to be office based.

As Head of financial Control and Reporting you will be leading a great team and supporting them with coaching and development to achieve both the team members and business aspirations.

As a key business partner and a subject matter expert for the business on existing and emerging financial accounting standards, you will be reviewing risk and providing pragmatic solutions to allpay Limited. Ensuring the preparation and presentation of clear and accurate financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial and statutory standards.

• Provide strategic direction to the senior management team on financial control matters to ensure proper supervision of associated current and future risks.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the business on existing and emerging financial accounting standards, as they relate to disclosures and complex financial structures, reviewing risks and providing pragmatic solutions.
• Ensure the preparation and presentation of clear, concise and accurate financial reporting for senior management and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial and statutory standards.
• You will ensure alignment between operational and commercial performance and support changes within operations to measure success and identify further opportunities.
• Develop and implement a strategy, plan and associated policies/procedures to deliver a Financial Controls function that optimizes efficiency of processes and accuracy of related financial statements.

About You

What are we looking for you to have?

• Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience.
• To be passionate and enthusiastic about the work that you do having an excellent commercial understanding.
• Ability to lead, coach and engage your team to deliver an efficient and effective finance function.
• Strategic finance business partner with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.
• Strong Organisation and time management skills.
• Be curious to see if we can do things a different way and drive forward the finance strategy.
• Be agile enough to adapt to changes that happen within the business and re-align financial activity accordingly.
