Position
Are you a strategic finance leader ready to make a meaningful impact in a respected local charity?
We're looking for a Head of Finance to lead our finance function, ensure excellent stewardship of resources, and support our long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and leadership team to deliver our 2030 vision, driving financial clarity, compliance, and confidence across the organisation.
What You'll Do:
- Lead financial planning, reporting, and controls across the Age UK Oxfordshire Group
- Deliver accurate, timely management accounts and statutory reporting
- Oversee payroll, office management, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency
- Act as Company Secretary, supporting governance and long-term strategy
- Manage and develop a small, high-performing finance team
- Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring:
- Chartered accountant status (ICAEW, CIPFA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Senior finance experience, ideally in the charity or VCSE sector
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to our values and mission
- Knowledge of charity finance, governance, and compliance (desirable)

Requirements
Hours: 35 hours a week (0.8 FTE considered)
Salary: circa £55,000 per annum
Closing date for applications: Monday 13th October 9.00 am
Interview: First interview; Wednesday 15th October 2025, Second interview; Tuesday 21st or Wednesday 22nd October 2025
