Job Title: Head of Finance

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Line Manager: Chief Operating Officer

The role of the Head of Finance is to oversee the day-to-day processes of the Finance Department, enabling accurate financial decisions to be made in line with the objectives of the charity.

Objectives

• Produce accurate and timely reporting to aid with decision making across the Foundation and Nest.
• Lead on the annual audit and all external reporting as required.
• Support key stakeholders, SLT and the exec team with internal finance requirements and advice.

Knowledge, skills and experience - essential

• Excellent organisation skills
• Qualified in either ACCA/ACA/CIMA
• High level of numeracy
• Knowledge of charity accounting requirements
• Understanding of payroll processes
• Experience of preparing management accounts
• Excellent IT skills including Excel and Word
• Experience with data analysis and variance reporting

Knowledge, skills and experience - desirable

• Strong understanding of finance systems
• Experience of working as part of a small finance team
