What will I be doing?
This role will be responsible for ensuring the site's infrastructure and investment plans are aligned to our strategic and operational objectives; that we have effective plan for space optimization/utilization on the site; and that there are robust risk management and business continuity plans in place to protect our employees, our assets and our customer commitments.

The mission also includes responsibility for decarbonizing our activities on site so that we reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 (from a 2018 baseline) and to net zero by 2050.

o Develop and maintain a site infrastructure plan for the Burnley site, showing proposed development of the site's infrastructure and industrial footprint to meet both current and future business needs.

o Develop and maintain a strategic Capital investment plan to ensure delivery of the infrastructure plan.

o Ensure that colleagues are supported to develop robust business cases for individual capital requests (incorporating needs such as digitalisation, low carbon, HSE, and ergonomics), and that they are successfully developed through the internal approval processes

o Be responsible for the management of the internal CapEx approval process.

o Work with colleagues in the Operational and Facilities teams to ensure that robust business cases are prepared for each element of the CapEx plans.

o Ensure opportunity for IT, low carbon and digital transformation input into site's CapEx proposals (both the scope of current projects, plus future projects)

o Work with the Operations, Logistics (internal and external) and project teams to develop a site optimisation plan for Burnley, ensuring that there is clearly planned and identified space for various site activities.

o Deliver a strategy and a programme of activity to lead the site's reduction in energy use/carbon emissions, and improve the awareness of energy/environmental issues which will drive behaviour change.

o Lead the submissions and evidence required for Safran's annual Low Carbon / Energy audits.

Candidate skills & requirements
What do you need from me?
• Experience of strategic infrastructure planning, ideally in a manufacturing/operational environment.

• Experience of leading and developing teams, ideally in a cross-functional environment.

• Experience of building relationship with and influencing stakeholders, ideally in a multi-site environment.

• Development of ROI calculations to justify and prioritise investment.

• Risk analysis, risk planning and development of business continuity plans, and experience of crisis exercises.

• Knowledge of low carbon technologies, and of strategies to decarbonise energy use in manufacturing/operational environments.

Tools:
• Utilisation of Return on Investment methodologies to support investment opportunities
• Understanding of appropriate technology and successful approaches to reduce carbon/energy use on an operational site.
